The saddest part of all of this article is that a great society, unique in its own rights and for centuries independent, has been repressed and its legacy almost completetly destroyed and then, on top of all of that, China justifies its actions with cheap, well-packed propaganda pills that make them to appear the fairest of all countries...is it just the way represive countries behave? ...take 21, the history repeats itself again...

I love how this article is all over the internet under the names a many different authors. is this plagarized piece of propaganda all you have on tibet? (and I feel fair to assume it was written by someone with close relations to china..)

Read published HISTORY BOOKS. See what they say about china and tibet. Clearly anyone relying on internet sources are too ignorant to even be discussing such a topic.

If you want to pose your position, then use relevant trustworthy sources. not internet nonsense.

Maybe YOU should do some research before you present your "opinion".

Has your government blinded you so much that you listen to everything they preach? To be quite honest it is sad. Instead of wasting your time bashing Tibet, you may want to cleanse yourself from the censured information your government has brainwashed you with. If you have the chance I suggest you do independent research on both views of the topic, and then you can claim your opinion as your own - not one you have been raised to believe.

To Gicu:

First of all, this website is built to collect information about Tibet, and express my personal opinion on Tibet. This entry is a quote, just for sharing some ideas and information. This is not my position.

Second, people should draw conclusion by themselves, they read artticles, they watch the videos on YouTube, and they watch the pictures taken in Tibet. They are able to give a judgment. I do not want force one to believe anything. I have my position, I have something to share with you. That's enough.

In the end, I encourage serious discussion however, any attacks on my blog is not acceptable.

While the article is very interesting and I accept many of the points it raises. Nothing that China says or does in relation to Tibet and the Dalai Lama excuses it's human rights violations or record.

China does not permit any form of protest. Protest is what happens when you don't permit discussion. Discussion is what is required when the people (regardless of number) are unhappy about the situation under which they live. Everyones opinion should count.

It may not be a benefit to anyone for Tibet to go back to Serf style rule but it is not a benefit to anyone for the Chinese authorities to brutally terrorise and criminalise anyone who wishes to hold a view even slightly different to the authorised one.

If Tibet is truly to become an economically developed nation then it's own people must be allowed to develop themselves. They cannot do this under oppression.
